The Knife Designed for Navy SEAL Teams Six and Three (Yes, Team Six took out Osama bin Laden)
The BuckMaster survival knife was conceptualized, designed and built specifically for Navy SEAL Teams Six and Three in the 1980s. This book explores the complete history of the knife and includes interviews with the designers, technicians, the Navy SEAL Team Three commander at that time, and CJ Buck, CEO owner of the company that manufacturered the knive. The 352-page book also includes information about the M9 bayonet and contains more than 100 photographs, about a fourth of which are in color.
"I have always been fascinated with how seemingly random and improbable events tie together so clearly when you look at them in a historical context," CJ Buck, President of BUCK Knives, Inc., writes in the Foreword to this book. "... I will tell you that there are many details in this book that I had totally forgotten and others I did not even know until Rich (the author) shared his research and interviews with me. The BuckMaster project was truly a defining moment for me and for BUCK Knives as well."
Author Richard Neyman is a lifelong BuckMaster collector and afficionado. He lives in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, with his wife, Mary, and four children, Sophia, Nicholas, Howard and Andrew.
