The Kid from Lincoln County: A Historical Novel
By Ronald E. Goetz
I could not put "The Kid" down. Mr. Goetz’ writing style is as good as the material of numerous other world-class authors I have read. His research was extensive and his story-telling style kept me riveted. He presented a truly unique side of Billy The Kid I had not known. Mr. Goetz kept me interested, entertained, and educated. I look forward to his next offering. —Brant C. Ball, City Manager, Comanche, OK
I began reading ... and missed supper because I simply could not put it down. I’ve read everything my uncle has ever written, but found the book more exciting and interesting. Very well written. The author made me feel like I was riding beside "The Kid." —Jim McMurtry, Duncan, OK
I simply could not put it down ... . It was as if I was an eyewitness to history in the making, as the Kid’s life unfolded before my eyes, as was, no doubt, the gifted writer’s intention. I was intrigued from the beginning and my emotions unleashed, became fully charged and ran rampant. The legacy that the Kid left us may not be a beautiful memory, but is sure is a colorful one. I congratulate the author for an excellent book. —Mary Lou Sartor, The Brazil (IN) Times
